Lack motivational Skills?

They say there is nothing new under the sun-well whoever said that never imagined the powers of Steve Jobs and the Apple iPod/iPad.  They truly have come up with something extraordinary, remarkable, and new: a free application called “Task Current”.  Task Current goes beyond organizing your to-do list, it also teaches a variety of skills, including motivational skills.  So, if you lack motivational skills, no problem, there is an Apple APP for that!  It might be hard to believe at first,  but reading this article, published on lifehacker.com by Alan Henry, just might make a believer out of you.

Lack Motivational Skills?  No Problem, There is an Apple APP for That!

Most to-do apps are full of things that we have to force ourselves to do, or things that we have to get done for one reason or another, but TaskCurrent is an iPhone and iPad app that turns your to-do list into a list of skills to learn, motivational tricks, productivity tips to work into your day-to-day life, and more. All in all, the app models itself after a to-do list, but it’s the kind you’ll actually want to use every day.

The app is completely free, and once installed you can browse the categories of “currents,” or essentially tutorial series and regular tips you can subscribe to and add to your personal list of currents. For example, if you’re interested in learning about new coffee drinks, the “Coffee Drinks Galore!” current is a weekly “to-do” that’s added to your list of new and unusual drinks to try at your favorite coffee shop or prepare at home. The productivity section even has a daily series of motivational tricks by Leo Babauta, author of the blog Zen Habits.

If you like, you can connect TaskCurrent to your Facebook account to share your new skills and what you’ve learned with your friends, but it’s not required.

On second thought it was a bit premature to simply blurt, “lack motivational skills? No problem, there is an Apple App for that”.  Especially without trying the application first.  Then, once I can personally confirm that I have improved my motivational skills from it’s direct use, I will share the news with everyone!
